The details... 

This accelerated program takes place over a ten-week period. Every week, you will be part of a seventy-five-minute video call; there will be 10 calls in all. (They take place at 8 p.m. ET on Thursdays.)

Our co-founders, Amy Blaschka and Bruce Kasanoff, will moderate each call in a such a manner that all participate and all voices are heard.

Growth Groups are based on our Aperture for Growth framework, which identifies the elements that make meaningful growth possible. Each call will be highly participatory, because our approach is to create a group in which the members help each other, and in doing so also help themselves.

You will need to do work in between each call, and part of our admission process is to validate that you are fully willing to invest this time and effort. A significant portion of this work involves asking yourself tough questions and confronting fears that you may have previously avoided, perhaps without even recognizing that you were doing so.

This program is for people who not only want to grow but who also feel they have no alternative but to grow. There's nothing superficial or easy about this process, and we will intentionally create challenges that test what matters most to you.

But by putting in the work, and by collaborating with members of your group, you'll establish the foundation for lifelong growth.

In addition, by completing this program, you will become a member of the Ikigai Park City community and will have access to other members and the insights they share with all of us. Our mission is to make this community one of the most dynamic, meaningful and supportive professional groups on the planet.

Ten people, together for ten weeks, united by their determination to find more growth and meaning in their careers—and lives.

Ten people, forming a circle around this common goal. Each brings a unique perspective and set of experiences. Each is willing to be open and honest. Each is there not only to find his or her own answers, but also to help the others within the circle.

A circle such as this possesses incredible power. Someone else in the circle has faced the challenge you are facing today. Someone else needs the answer you already possess.

What are the dates of the program?

The Growth Group Accelerator Program takes place over a ten-week period. Every week, you and your cohort will be part of a seventy-five-minute video call; there will be 10 calls in all.

How do the video calls work?

Prior to each session, we'll send out a reminder email with a link to join the call. On our program dates, you'll connect to our call using  Zoom video conferencing software, which requires a computer with a webcam and a strong wi-fi signal.

What happens between the video calls?

You will need to do work in between each call—we'll provide you with a worksheet at the end of each session—that involves asking yourself tough questions and confronting fears that you may have previously avoided, perhaps without even recognizing that you were doing so.

Do I have to share my answers during our calls?

The expectation and shared commitment of the cohort is to do the work and come to the next call prepared to share your answers, listen to the answers of your group members, and participate in the group discussion. In order to grow, you must be ready and willing to be open, supportive, and honest.

What if I have to miss a session?

We provide all sessions dates in advance to encourage you to block off time in your calendar for this important commitment. Your participation is vital for the success of the program not only for yourself, but also for the other members of your group. Stuff happens, but we urge you to treat these sessions as top priorities.

What if I want to connect with one of the members of my group outside of our calls?

The strength our our program is that it's designed to create an environment in which members support one another, during the program and beyond. Once your group is formed, you'll receive contact information for each member.

Group Co-leaders

This session will be led by Bruce Kasanoff and Amy Blaschka, co-founders of Ikigai Park City.

Bruce has been involved in training—and a bit of coaching—since 1995. For example, he started the training division of Peppers and Rogers Group and has led thousands of professionals towards growth, advancement, and innovation.

Over the past seven years, Bruce has simultaneously been writing about change and growth and also working with a roster of amazingly insightful clients, sharing their best ideas. In the process, he has gathered an incredible range of insights about how people grow and change (and the many ways they don't.)

Throughout her career, Amy has attracted people eager to share their stories and to discover the “missing element” of their lives. She’s been a professional storyteller who helped her clients tell their stories in a clear and engaging manner, and thus better connect with their intended audiences. Along the way, she found her clients opening up to her about much more than their writing assignments, and it became clear that her true purpose was to inspire transformation in others.

Together Bruce and Amy built the Aperture for Growth framework, which will drive this program. The pair will lead the group through this cycle. You're not going to learn it; you're going to live it.

They are skilled listeners; they will react to what you do and don't say, pushing back when it will benefit you. If you want lectures and textbooks, this is not your program. Neither is it a skill-based program. The goal is to help you dig deeper, gain focus, and commit to specific actions.
